RESET is proud to announce the achievement of RESET Air Certification for both Core & Shell (v2.0) and Commercial Interiors (v2.0) for Embassy of Canada to Seoul, Korea. This is the first RESET Air project in South Korea and the second Canadian Embassy project that has received RESET Air certification after the Canadian Embassy in China.

The Canadian Embassy in South Korea was designed by Zeidler Partnership. Its design concept shows Canada and South Korea's respect for nature: an ancient tree that symbolizes nature at the entrance for more than 500 years, and the design of the building skin echoes nature.

The Canadian Embassy in South Korea also shows its care for people. Its buildings and indoor working spaces have deployed RESET Accredited in-duct and indoor air quality monitors according to RESET Air requirements.

Throughout the required three-month data audit phase, the project had to demonstrate the ability to maintain IAQ within the thresholds required by the RESET Air Standard. The Canadian Embassy in South Korea has been awarded with RESET Air Certification for Core & Shell (v2.0) and Commercial Interior (v2.0) on March and September 2020 respectively.

Air quality indicators and thresholds for RESET Air Core & Shell (v2.0) include:

Air quality indicators and thresholds for RESET Air Commercial Interior (v2.0) include:

The above air quality indicators and thresholds are based on industry best-practices and international standards. Targets are requisite for the projects pursuing RESET Air Certification. Additionally, temperature and relative humidity are continuously monitored, although no specific thresholds are prescribed.

After obtaining RESET Air certification, the project must maintain these thresholds in order to keep its certification status. Air quality data is collected via air quality monitors and evaluated daily by the RESET Assessment Cloud. Additionally, air data must share with project occupants to foster education and promote social equity.
